DR CAMERON BRUCE

Experience
After completing university degree at UCT and internship at Victoria Hospital, Cameron did community service at False Bay Hospital in 1999.
He worked as a GP in rural areas of Eastern Canada from 2000-2004 and then returned to Cape Town to be in GP practice from 2005-2010 at Brampton Surgery in Claremont, Cape Town. Dr Bruce completed the UCT Palliative Care diploma 2006-2007 and increased his home visit palliative work as the years went by. Cameron founded Chariot Health in 2010 as a home-visit service focusing on geriatrics and palliative work. Chariot Health has grown steadily over the years to its current capacity in providing coordinated care to patients across the Cape Peninsula and up the West Coast.

‘I have a passionate relationship with music and have been a singer-songwriter-guitarist since the late eighties. I enjoy writing songs and playing in a band with my daughter and other talented musicians.
I have also had a passion for windsurfing since my childhood and have competed at the sports highest levels but now just enjoy being out in the wind and the waves.’

Experience
Alison worked in an Intensive Care Unit for 19 years at a private hospital and has been working at Chariot Health for 3 ½ years in palliative and geriatric care.

‘I have 2 grown up children who I love spending time with. I enjoy cooking and entertaining and being with family and friends. I always have a knitting or crocheting project on the go as I find using my hands very therapeutic. I am passionate about long distance running and have completed 5 Two Oceans Ultra Marathons and 2 Comrades Marathons.’

SENZENI CHISI

Driver and office support
Sales and Marketing Diploma – Malawi College

  • Delivering of scripts to Pharmacies and delivers and collects medical equipment for Chariot Health
  • Office Cleaner and general handyman
Experience

Senzeni has been a personal Driver to Dr Cameron Bruce on patient appointments for the last 4 years in additional to maintaining the Chariot Health offices to an exceptionally high standard. Prior to joining us Senzini was a Driver for World Vision in Malawi for 2 years.

‘I enjoy walking, all types of outdoor adventures, am an avid Church goer, and love spending time with family and working hard.

Experience
Ronelle held the Administrative Secretary position at SACS High School for 20 years followed by a similar position at Wynberg Boys’ Junior School for 2.5 years
Her admin and support experience has been further enhanced through her managing a few Bed and Breakfasts and having a stint as the Manager at The Gardener’s Restaurant.

Experience
Marsha started her working career as a Marketing and Operations Assistant at Pleasure Foods and as a secretary to the Client Service Directors at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising. She then held a Divisional Public Relations Officer position at Shoprite Checkers for 5 years supporting the National Marketing and Social Resonsibility divisions. Before moving to Chariot Health, in her key support role, she worked at The Friends of Valkenberg Trust for a period of 13 years, initially as a Programme coordinator and then as an Events Fundraiser, focusing on hospital staff and fundraising events.

‘I love to spend time with family and friends, swimming, reading, nature, adventure, and try my best to focus on health and wellbeing.’

CATHRYN BIGGS

Experience
Cathyryn worked as a Credit Controller at City Practitioners, a consulting company in London and also in the settlements department at Deutsche Bank in London. She is now the credit controller for Chariot Health.
