Meet Joel Oliveira

Dr Joel is a General Practitioner in the Constantia area. He is a dedicated family man practicing from his home on Doordrift road.

He has devoted more than 20 years to general medical practice and building a report with his patients.

His interests are geriatric health; chronic disease management such as diabetes, hypertension; preventative health; mood disorders especially depression and anxiety; homebased frail and palliative care.

Dr Joel and his wife have adopted three amazing boys who may have logistically derailed their lives but brought enormous amounts of joy. There are also 6 dogs and 2 rabbits. Dr. Joel also enjoys reading – mostly sci-fi – and cinema – also mostly sci-fi.

Dr Joel can assist with home visits for frail, elderly or very ill patients that are unable to travel.

DR MIKE BROWN

General Practitioner

MB,ChB; Dip Pall Med (UCT) is a Palliative Care Practitioner with previous experience in anaesthesia and in pharmaceutical medicine.

Experience

Mike has around 10 years’ experience within the Hospice environment in Johannesburg (HospiceWits) and Cape Town (St Luke’s).

After moving to Cape Town in 2018, Mike spent time at St Luke’s Combined Hospices in Kenilworth as Chief Medical Officer before joining Chariot Health, and still supports St Luke’s in a part time Medical Officer position.

Mike now divides his time between St Luke’s Hospice and Chariot Health, where he provides home based Palliative Care in private practice.

In his spare time, Mike is an enthusiastic recreational pilot.
