 Qualified at Stellenbosch Medical School, served a rural community as GP, District Surgeon and Hospital Superintendent for many years. Enjoyed lecturing at Free-State Medical School, before spending 10 years in the UK, as NHS trauma- and Bupa Wellness physician. After returning to South Africa the certificate in Palliative Medicine was completed at Stellenbosch Medical School, joining Chariot Health at the beginning of 2021. Currently serving the Northern Suburbs with Palliative Care, Pain relief and General Medical care.

My passion is my calling as doctor, being somewhat of a workaholic, while enjoying time with my 4 sons, their families and 7 grandchildren.

Palliative Care

After graduating from Stellenbosch University in 2019, Tania respectively completed her 2-year internship and community service year at Tygerberg Hospital and Paarl Provincial Hospital. It was during the pandemic that her interest piqued in providing medical care that promotes quality of life for vulnerable individuals and support for their families. Tania served as the primary Palliative Care Doctor at St Luke’s Hospice for two years, during which she obtained a Diploma in Palliative Medicine at UCT.

Tania divides her leisure time between reading, baking, practicing yoga, making memories with her loved ones, and keeping her sprightly border collie entertained. She cherishes the life lessons and sense of fulfilment that comes from caring for her patients.
