After qualifying I ran the Clinic for the Department of Mines in Port Nolloth and did district in the Richtersveld and surrounds for nearly 3 years. After getting married we moved to Cape Town where I worked a various Private Hospitals in between having and bringing up our two children.

For the last 10½ years I worked at a Retirement Village in Pinelands, where my love of older people really developed.
